Motifs are unique to each transcription factor (TF). High-throughput assays such as SELEX, NCAP-SELEX & FIBER-SEQ reveal these TF-specific footprints, which can be associated to TF activity, modes of gene expression regulation and TF-DNA pairs that are key regulatory nodes in different cell-types.
